RnB Direct Mail was founded in 2005 by Ryan Metcalf and Bob Rhodes to provide a single solution for customers marketing needs.
The ethos from the outset has been to continually drive the business forward and offer the latest solutions for our clients to take advantage of.
Year-on-year we have invested to ensure we can deliver the most effective campaigns and return the best ROI. Having built up a reputation for consistently exceeding expectations we are able to offer a wide portfolio of services to meet our clients demands.
Based just outside Leeds city centre, our production facility encompasses all our services, from data, personalisation, enclosing and storage.
Our People
Ryan Metcalf - Director
Ryan is a founding partner of RnB Direct Mail and is a data processing specialist within the industry. Ryan designed all the company’s leading edge technology for Data Processing to allow seamless integration of Direct Mail projects and services.
Ryan’s main role at RnB is data processing, IT, MIS and special projects. Having set up RnB’s highly talented Data Processing Department, he ensures the data services offered by RnB Direct Mail continue to outclass our industry rivals, underlining the commitment to delivering a quality service at all times.
Like most of the RnB team, Ryan is a keen golfer. He became a father to his first child Zack in October, which might put his golf on hold for a while! Anyone who knows Ryan will know that his favourite holiday location is Orlando, Florida. Closer to home, Ryan is a keen supporter of Sheffield Wednesday (poor fella!) and has been a season ticket holder for many years.
Bob Rhodes - Director
Having managed marketing campaigns for over 20 years both from the client and production side, Bob founded RnB Direct Mail with Ryan in 2005 to offer a solution for clients knowing the pitfalls on both sides of the fence.
Bob has a great deal of technical knowledge that has been amassed over the years to ensure that things happen efficiently and cost effectively. Whatever the solution is for your campaign you can be rest assured that Bob will have an answer.
Bob likes all sport although the horse racing tops the bill! Another keen golfer although he generally hacks around the course, Bob’s biggest passion is angling. Living in York is handy for Bob as he likes a pint and York is renowned for its public houses serving the good stuff!
Andrew Swales - Sales Manager
With over 38 Years’ experience in all aspects of the Print and Direct Mail Industry, Andrew has a great knowledge of all aspects of the production processes. Having started his career as a Litho Printer, Andrew has worked through a variety of roles within Litho offset, Web offset, Silk Screen Printing, Digital Print and Direct Mail sectors giving him a vast insight into production methods.
Andrew’s experience means he is always on hand to deliver a solution to your needs as he has seen it all over the years!
When Andrew is not chauffeuring his children around he likes to get out on the golf course too or get stuck into some DIY. Andrew also likes to go out wining and dining Mrs Swales whenever he can!
Marc Bickers - Customer Services Manager
Marc joined RnB Direct Mail in 2010 as Account Manager after completing a French & Marketing degree. Having shown his skills in handling a high percentage of the jobs, Marc was promoted to Customer Services Manager in June 2011 to ensure clients expectations would always be exceeded.
Outside of RnB, Marc is a keen golfer and a huge fan of his beloved Leeds United.
