QR Codes: the next big thing in marketing? |
Monday, 10 September 2007 |
QR codes are the "next big thing" to come out of Japan - QR stands for Quick Response and is a means of condensing information (names, addresses, website links) into a black and white barcode.
Customers use their mobile phone to decipher the codes and extract the message it hides.
Some new phone models are already equipped with QR-scanners, others can be enabled by downloading free software from the internet.
The code below contains a URL to the RnB website. This code could be printed in a magazine article/advertisment so users could read the article and scan the code to be taken directly to our website to find out more.
Applications for use include the following:
Business Cards
Flyers
Articles
Websites
Bill Boards
Posters
and more...
"It'll never catch on" we hear you say. They said that about television and text messaging. Stay ahead of the game, for more information email

Important News about Royal Mail's Customer Barcode Products |
Thursday, 17 May 2007 |
From 1st May 2008, every Customer Barcode (CBC) bulk mailing will need to feature a minimum Delivery Point Suffix (DPS) accuracy rate of 80%.
RnB's mailsort software generates the DPS during the data processing stage so we can report back on the accuracy before the mailing goes any further.

The 2nd RnB bowling night took place on Friday 30 March with Ryan's team already 1 - 0 down to Bob's West Yorkshire Wanderers team from the previous round.
Once again, Ryan's team was sunk by a plethora of strikes from their rivals. To even things out though, the South Yorkshire team were clear winners in the dessert eating championshps at the post-match meal.
